Now & Then
This is and image that came together with creating a collage from scraps of magazine cuttings with the image of a face imerging.
Medium: Scraps of magazine cuttings with acrylic black painted face image.

All We Are Saying
In 2022 the tragicomic image of Putin sitting at one end of his absurdly long table with Emmanuel Macron at the other end was featured in the world media. Sadly any peace talks failed but this image caught my imagination. So I have included other images to reinforce the message "Give peace a chance".
Medium: Black and red ink on card.

Teapot and Angel
This came about by doing a still life study from objects. The teapot and angel seemed to say something .

Medium: Graphite and watercolour paint.

Look at the Stars
I have recently taken an interest in astronomy. This is an artists impression of the milky way. The little girl pointing is in he style of Banksy.
Medium: Acrylic paint on black paper.

Covid-19
When the Covid-19 broke out we were all frightened and confused by this weird spiked ball.

Medium: Acrylic paint on stretched canvas.

Broken Britain
After Brexit happened I was thinking "oh dear what have we done". So these images are symbolic.
Medium: Acrylic paint on pape

Joke
Brexit was a joke wasn't it ?

Let It Go
This is obviously in the style of Banksy who I am a big fan of. To me the little girl represents the loss of innocence as she knows the balloon will never come back. Instead of one balloon you see the 12 contrasting colours of the wheel.

Medium: Ink on marble

Deunde
Duende is a Spanish term for heightened state of emotion that is often referred to in the world of Flamenco. This is a semi-abstract interpretation.

I Am Become
This started as and urban sketching morning at a churchyard. Others sketched the church but I homed in on the gravestones. It was soooo dull though so I made it more interesting in a spiritual way.

Medium: Chalk pastel, soft pastel and acrylic paint on paper.

The Golden Rule
I captured these images whilst people watching from a cafe in Manchester. The mandarin Confucius script is similar to the Biblical "Do unto othes".

Medium: Watercolour paint and ink on paper.

Doodle One
Not quite sure what this was about but I quite like it. It was done in a doodling mode and captured some images that were going round my head at the time.

Medium: Ink on paper

Take me to the Oasis
Another doodle from the imagination and challenge to draw a camel.

Medium: Ink on paper

Stop Building
A Blue Bird looking forlornly to where there was once trees.,

Medium: Oil Pastel on paper

Other Worldly
Shapes from derelict ancient drystone farm buildings in Peak District caught my imagination.
